Too much of the cost of our schools falls on local property taxpayers, and that has to change.

 

I want to restructure state funding so municipalities get more support from Hartford, easing the burden on homeowners the way states like Massachusetts have done.

 

I'll work to eliminate unfunded mandates that force towns to spend without the money to back it up, and I want to see incentives for towns to regionalize purchasing, things like school supplies and buses, so we're not all paying full price separately for the same things.
